I'm dying to splurge on this MARC BY MARC JACOBS Gold Threaded Trench Coat for $658.00 at Nordstrom. Why? The color is so fresh...not boring New York black, or LA Winter White, but a gorgeous gold tone that dresses up anything, even a boring ol' pair of jeans. The belted waist gives you a trim silhouette, while the structured shoulders and flared hips make sure you look hourglass, sharp and smart.

Oh, and have I mentioned that I want to stay warm?

Boots for Everybody

Contrast Shoe Boot from ASOS for about $50.

In case you haven't noticed, boots are everywhere this season. They are simply unavoidable! Whether you're clunking down the streets in colorful, printed galoshes to avoid the winter snow/rain (global warming makes it unpredictable!), or knee-high lace-ups with a 5-inch stacked heel, or a cute bootie like above, you can be assured that you're ahead on the fashion radar. Or at least, right in the middle of it!

My tips? Invest in a good pair of boots in a dark, neutral tone; ones that will last forever and weather any trend changes.

+ Ankle boots are hot this season and can even be worn through the warmer seasons. Pick up a pair that flatters your legs with a pointed toe and a slight heel or wedge. Don't go for anything in an outrageous color; it's not going to last longer than this fall! Something like this should do the trick.
+ Mid-calf boots are not universally flattering, beware! In general, try to get one that's loose fitting at the top and slouchy, instead of tapered and skin-tight. This gives you the widest range of options when it comes to mixing and matching it with the rest of your clothes. A heel will probably work best for those who are not blessed in the long-and-lean leg arena.
+ Knee-highs will always be in fashion, with jeans tucked in or over tights and a skirt. How not to look like you came tromping off the farm? Get one in a luxe fabric, like suede. To up the fashion-forward-factor, try to get one that comes with hardware- sturdy buckles and clasps for that hardy, punk feel. Heel or no heel, they look great either way.

I know, I know, it's barely even cold out, but here I am, desperately craving a puff jacket. But not in the same way these babies were worn to death seasons ago. Instead, I'm looking for one that's streamlined (no more penguins waddling around please!) and figure-hugging, while still retaining it's warm and cuddly qualities. A gorgeous minimalist color like white and luxe details (fur collar, multiple buttoned pockets and seams) make it so much classier than the lumberjack version.

Ok, it can't just be me right? Doesn't this dress have all the elements of COOL in it?

1) Love the sweetheart neckline..it is impossibly flattering on women of any chest size because it cups and..well, you know what I mean.
2) The corset shape can't be anything but perfect for all of us with less-than-perfect proportions.
3) ..plus, the red lacing is hot and cute simultaneously, so it's a great multi-tasker to take you from day to night.
4) From the looks of it, the hemline is just long enough to be cover up any chubby thighs, but short enough to make legs look long and lean.

Definitely something I want!
